In this variation both knees are steadily placed on one elbow and the body is lifted. It has the same benefits as the first variation except here extra work is felt on the opposite side of the abdomen to where the legs have gone. There is an intense working on the muscles around the ribs as well, as the body is in a twist and hold. Great for toning up the abdomen and working on the inner organs like the kidneys and colon because of the massaging action of the twist involved.
